Coming across different subjects in my exploration of societal and feminist ideas, I wanted to incorporate a sense of fashion and what fashion portrays in society. in researching this, I came across the ideas of objectification of the female body in fashion media and how female bodies are portrayed to sell a certain garment and brand compared to men. I also looked at photographer Guy Bourdin and how he captures the hypersexualization of the female form in fashion photography.

'is it good for women in general or does it drive home our larger social sense of the larger social sense of sexism and a potential lack of value for women?'

'Bourdin's works, both haunting and glamorous, lack any human presence. consisting only of the lower legs of a plastic mannequin, these images offer a radical alternative to the conventional fashion images'

websites used- thefashionlaw.com , www.oxfordstudent.com

These are test contact sheets my mum produced to depict the female body , I used these as inspiration from this subject because it related to this societal subject.
